I spoke to Alice. She was the one who broke the news of the mutant shake up.
I'm starting to believe maybe Wonderland's got a mind of its own. Unless the residents are actually lying to us and it's a diversion from their part in it when they deliver those announcements about what's coming up.
[ is it a bad idea he reaches out to whichever resident strikes his fancy? maybe. barry's reckless, after all. sometimes he thinks he's too untouchable because he can run so fast, and showing alice what he can do has the potential to bite him in the ass, even strip him of his speed permanently. ]
[ for some reason, though, he doubts the residents would really go about making that happen. aren't there others at work here who are more sinister in their intentions? sometimes barry looks at the mirror and wonders if that person's reflected back. ]
We should talk with some of the others. Gather more information. If people have been here for years, they could have more that we could glean data from.
NGL, Alice was easy to distract. She's really sweet! But I don't think she'd tell me why she doesn't have eyes? Is that rude to ask?
Everyone who's fallen down the rabbit hole doesn't seem to know much. You'd think the pamphlet would have more than just a FAQ on the mansion and how it works, right? There's kind of nothing that implies there's anything more to what they know about Wonderland. Just that it is. And we have to make do.
[ does that sound like pessimism from barry allen? ]
[ barry casually screenshots this message to prove wells can be an optimist at times. ]
It's not me!
[ not that anyone was accusing him, but isn't that the obvious response to make? ]
[ but guess who has ten toes, ten fingers, the speed force inside of him, and is so tired of people playing others? this guy right here. it's the story of his goddamn life these days. he thought escaping from his current life to change it to something better would mean less spies in his life. ]
Maybe it's another speedster? We seem to be pretty good at being moles. 🙄
[ is barry about to enter the danger zone of wondering how wells would describe his most recent behaviour, zipping through wonderland, saving captain hook from possibly being on the wrong side of children's books? ]
[ barry's little grouchy father figure #3 is growing up. ]
[ he does think to say something about it, but he figures that's all that needs to be said. "thanks" and "you're welcome". as much as barry likes to push wells, he doens't like to make him that uncomfortable. less is more, and it tends to work with him. ]

Do you really think Wonderland's that thoughtful when it comes to events?

[ translation: he's got no idea.

You don't think it's a bad idea to be talking to the residents? Like, the Carroll born residents. With the hookahs and hats and tea-time invites.
TEXT.
You could try talking to them but their information would be unreliable at best
I was referring to the people who'd been brought here like us

There's no harm in asking those in the same situation as us. Besides, apparently there's a mole in our midst

I've only seen one speedster flaunting his or her abilities around the mansion, frankly.

[ Is he setting himself up for more Harry Potter-isms there? Possibly. But he'd be lying if he said the reference was entirely unintentional. ]

IDK is Voldemort even fast? He doesn't have hair or a nose to support the wind resistance he'd need with his robes.
TEXT.
TEXT.
You don't really have the hair to catch it, you know?
[ 1. barry allen, subtle? lmfao. wells may actually crack a smile. 2. barry allen, wells' hair appreciation president? hell yeah. ]

[ goodBYE, barry allen!! ]

BTW, thanks.
[ hook, line, did he get the fish??? ]

For checking up on me. You didn't have to.
