Do I get to wear a coat?

[ barry ... that's good thinking, especially given he wants to play the part of being a trusting doctor. dad used to let him dress up with his stethoscope and pretend to be dr bartholomew allen ... it's a memory that tugs at his mind, but it doesn't disappear just yet. (it will in over a week.) ]

What am I supposed to do?
CPR?
Bed changing?
Closing curtains?
Pushing people on the wheely beds?

Sure. Might as well see what it's like to be Dr. Allen, right?

[ George left some lab coats at the clinic, and besides, Iris doesn't mind encouraging this side of Barry. It's not like she can get him scrubs in a hurry. A coat is the next best thing. ]

We're short staffed so the nurses and NPs can use all the help they can get.

[ As much as she appreciates that unwavering faith, and as much as she'd like to stand tall and say yes, she can do it! She's totally a Rosie the Riveter type!! Iris also knows her limits, and she also knows when she's signed up for way more than she bargained for.
